Paper Saving Web Site

Do you have lots of adobe acrobat files that you print out for later reference?  Many of the user’s guides for equipment and software on the internet are downloadable in acrobat format.  I have found a web site that will help you save space and paper to get those into print — all for free! This web site will allow you to upload an acrobat file and then process it and download it back to your computer.  The really neat trick is that it formats the pdf for printing a booklet.  It will print two pages side by side on a landscape piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper.

Follow the instructions on the web site, but you can print the odd pages first (easily done through adobe acrobat reader).  Then flip the order of the pages, turn them over and print the even pages on the back.  You can then fold the entire package down the middle and voila!  You now have an 5″ x 8 1/2″ booklet that can be stapled in the middle.

The web site is Booklet Creator and you can buy a stapler from office depot for about $35 to staple the middle of the pages:  PaperPro Long Reach Stapler.
