Act! Contact Synchronization

For anyone that uses Act! to manage contacts, the software is fantastic.  The largest drawback for our use has been the poor ability to synchronize with microsoft outlook.  Most software we have found to accomplish this is either standalone or integrates into Act!  Well, we recently found some software that installs as an Outlook add-in and this software is not only flexible, but very fast

Take a look at Act! Connect where you can try a free version to synchronize up to 30 contacts.  The $19.95 cost is very reasonable in our opinion and the software seems to work well.

One tip we offer for your first synch is this:  If your Act! contact list is the master list, meaning it is 100% complete, first delete all your contacts in Microsoft Outlook and then perform a synch.  This will help you keep from getting duplicates in both databases.  If you do end up with duplicates, then start with Act! and list the contacts including the creation date.  Sorting on the creation date will allow you to easy tag and delete the duplicates just added.  As always, backup first!
